Mesir Macunu Festival

Known for her benevolent personality, Hafsa Sultan requests that the mesir paste that heals her be distributed to the public every year during the Nevruz week. The paste, which is wrapped in small papers, is scattered to the public from the Sultan Mosque. From that day until today, mesir paste is distributed to the people gathered around the Sultan Mosque at the same time each year, by holding festivities.
